Immersion Sickness

Immersion sickness is a condition that can occur when a user remains linked to a cyberdeck or other deep-interface system for too long, at too great an intensity, or under poor signal and hardware conditions.

It is generally understood as a mismatch between the body’s physical state and the sensory, cognitive, and temporal conditions imposed by immersion. In mild cases, symptoms fade quickly after disconnecting. In severe cases, recovery may require supervised rest, sensory isolation, or medical intervention.
